Transforming Lives.
Sustaining Communities.

Rehbar Foundation works with Pakistan's workers, women, and youth to build their agency, safeguard their rights, and strengthen the communities they depend on.

Who we are

Closing a gap that runs across
Pakistan's supply chains.

Rehbar Foundation is a Pakistani NGO working at the intersection of labour welfare, skill development, and community protection. Rehbar was founded to close a gap that runs across Pakistan's supply chains: workers are essential to production but structurally excluded from recognition, protection, and voice.

Rehbar's work spans all over Pakistan, reaching cotton pickers, factory workers, children and youth in marginalized communities groups among the most invisible in the country's supply chains. Rehbar's programs bring together agriculture and industry under a shared commitment to agency, protection, and sustainability.

Thematic programs

Six programs, worker at the
center of each.

Each thematic program is delivered through Rehbar's intervention model and reported through the same transparent, evidence-based approach.

Grievance Prevention and Response Training

Prevention & response

Grievance Prevention and Response Training

Equips workers, supervisors, and community members to recognise, prevent, and respond to workplace and community harms, including gender-based violence, harassment, discrimination, forced and child labour, wage violations, and violations of freedom of association, building safer pathways for reporting, protection, and resolution both on the farm/factory floor and at home.

Gender Equity and Empowerment

Gender Equity

Gender Equity and Empowerment

Promotes women's equal participation, leadership, and economic opportunity across agricultural and factory worksites, addressing discriminatory norms and practices that limit women's access to jobs, fair pay, and decision-making, and reinforcing Rehbar's human rights due diligence commitments to gender equality.

Worker Safety Training

Occupational safety

Worker Safety Training

Delivers occupational health and safety training aligned with human rights due diligence standards, covering hazard identification, protective equipment, and safe work practices across agricultural and factory settings.

Health & Relief Camps

Access to care

Health & Relief Camps

Brings basic health screening, treatment, and referrals directly to worksites and worker communities, alongside emergency relief support during climate-related disasters such as floods and heatwaves, addressing gaps in access to care as part of Rehbar's human rights due diligence commitments.

 Community Daycare

Care infrastructure

Community Daycare

Provides safe, accessible childcare near worksites so that working parents, particularly women, are not forced to choose between income and their children's safety, while reducing the burden of unpaid care work.

De-Risking Pakistan's Climate Transition

Climate Policy & Sustainability

De-Risking Pakistan's Climate Transition

To mobilise Public–Private–Philanthropic Partnerships (4P) that make Pakistan's low-carbon transition affordable and bankable by deploying first-loss capital to de-risk investment, strengthening monitoring, reporting, and verification (MRV) systems, supporting industrial decarbonisation that safeguards jobs and community resilience, and enabling farmers to adopt climate-resilient crops and sustainable land and water management practices that diversify livelihoods and build resilience to climate change.

Target group & approach

One target group: workers.

Workers across Pakistan's agriculture and industry, including field workers and factory workers, men and women.
Programs are not divided by sector at the strategic level. Each is designed for the workers it reaches, whether in the field or on the production line, and most are built to serve both from the outset.

Agency

Agency

Building workers' knowledge, voice, and bargaining position, so they are recognised as rights holders and economic agents, not only as labour.

Sustainability

Sustainability

Embedding environmental and livelihood resilience into every programme, so gains are not eroded by climate stress, resource depletion, or unsustainable production practices.

Safety

Safety

Securing workers' right to physical and psychological protection at work, including protection from occupational hazards, violence, and harassment, so that economic participation does not come at the cost of health, dignity, or life.
